This is one of the truly stunning places we visited in 2020. The ancient monastery built on an island that can only be reached during low tide; it's astonishing. Of course, now days, with so much tourism, they have built a 3km road bridge that reaches out to the island permanently. However, that doesn't ruin the mystical quality that this place has.
I personally really love the way the tide leaves the amazing patterns in the sand that you can only see from the air. It's a must visit for anyone in Northern France during 2021.
